Join us for a special afternoon of storytelling and wine as we taste the acclaimed Aslina Wines, crafted by South Africa’s first Black female winemaker, Ntsiki Biyela.
More than just wine, this celebrates heritage, passion, and purpose. Ntsiki’s journey began with a scholarship that took her from rural KwaZulu-Natal to the vineyards of the Cape, and later to harvests in Tuscany and Bordeaux. Her love for the land and deep respect for her roots are at the heart of every bottle she creates. Inspired by her beloved grandmother, the guiding light of her life, Ntsiki named her wine label Aslina—a tribute to the strength, wisdom, and legacy passed down through generations.
Through a collaboration with Californian winemaker Helen Kiplinger and the Wine for the World initiative, Ntsiki’s vision blossomed into a brand that now shines globally. She has crafted wine for the prestigious Winemakers’ Collection in France and today serves on the…
