Baía Grande BarDouro are proud to be relocating to a new seaside venue at 47 Stadler Road in Bloubergstrand, Cape Town. For several years, our family-run restaurant and wine bar has served the local community with a focus on quality food, warm hospitality, cultural experiences, and responsible liquor service. From traditional Portuguese cuisine and curated wine evenings to opera & jazz performances, poetry nights, and community gatherings, our goal has always been to create a welcoming and respectful space for people of all ages to enjoy.
As part of our move to the new premises, we are applying to transfer our liquor licence through the Western Cape Liquor Authority (WCLA). We understand that whenever a new hospitality venue opens in an area, some residents may have concerns. We respect the community’s right to be heard and believe open dialogue is important. At the same time, many loyal customers, neighbours, and supporters have expressed excitement about the move and would like the opportunity to formally share their positive experiences with Baía Grande BarDouro. This relocation represents an important step forward for the business and our staff. The move will allow us to create an improved customer experience in a beautiful beachfront setting while preserving local jobs and continuing to contribute positively to the Blouberg community. Baía Grande BarDouro is not a nightlife or entertainment venue focused on late-night partying. We are a restaurant centred around food, wine, family dining, hospitality, and community experiences. Responsible operation, respectful conduct, and consideration for neighbours remain central to our values.
